Spectacular print providing a panoramic view from the SBD Dauntless dive bomber's perspective 20,000 feet above the South Pacific and about 200 miles northwest of Midway Island moments before the American attack on the Japanese Fleet during the Battle of Midway. This beautifully framed and matted limited edition print "MIDWAY-The Turning Of The Tide" (#1223/1250) has been personally signed by the artist Robert Taylor and four pilots who took part in the Battle of Midway to include: Flight Lieutenant Edward H. Anderson, Commander Don Ely, Lieutenant Commander Dick Best (one of only two navy aviators in the history of naval aviation to score hits on two enemy aircraft carriers on the same day), Rear Admiral Wilber Roberts. Owning this print, with the signatures of pilots who actually took part in this significant moment in history, almost gives one the feeling of being able to touch history. I think that's pretty cool.

Time to allow another to enjoy this! Of additional significant note is that this print also includes the signature of Edward Heinmann, the man credited with designing the SBD Dauntless dive bomber used so successfully against the Japanese Fleet in this battle.

There is no COA included with this print (framed dimensions are 28" x 38" x 1).
