This is the 3rd print in the Gen. The print is signed Robert Taylor, General Adolf Galland, and 3 Leading Aces of JG-26. The print depicts General Adolf Galland's most memorable day of combat. On June 21, 1941, flying with JG-26 in Northern France, Galland participated in attacking a formation of Blenheim and about 50 escort fighters. During the attack, Galland shot down two bombers and was severely hit by defending Spitfires. He was able to switch off his engine and glide in for a belly landing. Later that afternoon, Galland participated in a second interception, shooting down a Spitfire at close range. He received hits from a second Spitfire and was forced to bail out.He survived that day with minor injuries and a direct order from Hitler forbidding him to fly anymore missions for the time being.
