Robert Taylor EAGLES ON THE RAMPAGE 10 Ace Signed P-51 Aviation Art Print. SIZE: 27 by 30.5 inches. SIGNATURES: Hand-signed and numbered in pencil by the artist Robert Taylor and 10 Aces who flew the Mustang in Europe and notched close to 100 aerial victories.

Colonel CLARENCE E'BUD' ANDERSON. The Certificate of Authenticity is included. Very nice image that impresses in person combined with 10 great US Ace pilot signatures who all flew the P-51 in combat. Dominating the skies over Germany, pilots of the 4th Fighter Group skim the cloud tops in their P-51 Mustangs, scanning the distant horizon for signs of the Luftwaffe. They are poised and ready for action should the enemy decide to chance their luck.

Formed in September 1942 from the RAF Eagle Squadrons, the Fourth Fighter Group was the oldest fighter unit in the Eighth Air Force. Under the command of the legendary Don Blakeslee, described as one of the very the best fighter leaders of the war, the combined air and ground victories notched up by'The Eagles' during World War II surpassed any other fighter group. They were the first to penetrate German air space, and the first to engage the Luftwaffe over Berlin. Hermann Goering is credited with saying,'When I saw those Mustangs over Berlin, I knew that the war was lost'. It is fitting, therefore, that Robert Taylor has chosen the Fourth Fighter Group for his classic painting to represent all the pilots who flew P-51s with the USAAF.

Never framed, stored flat in a non-smoking, climate-controlled environment. Check my feedback - it's excellent. I ask for the same consideration from you. I will pack your print very carefully so it arrives undamaged.
