The Certificate of Authenticity is included. Published back in 2011, the signatures on this print are simply amazing. Some editions of this print have only 3 or 7 signatures, but this is the premier "Jet Hunters" edition with 14 signatures of pilots with WW2 jet/rocket victories! The only two pilots of WW2 to down two Me-262s, two pilots with victories over the Ar-234, and a pilot with a victory over an Me-163. This represents one of the most unique signature collections ever offered on a print. Beyond the signatures, this is a striking image that never fails to catch the eye. The action, the sky full of aircraft, the contrails, and the bold color make for one of Robert's most arresting images. On 10 April 1945, thirteen hundred bombers of the Mighty Eighth set out to destroy the last of the Luftwaffe's jet force. But, unknown to the bomber crews and their fighter escort, the enemy jets were already airborne and waiting to spring their deadly trap.

Shown here are B-17s of the First Air Division with streaming contrails in the cold clear air as they turn for home. Several Me-262s have already torn through the massed formation, but a P-51 from the escorting 356th Fighter Group has quickly spotted his target and presses home his attack. The hunter becomes the hunted as the Mustang pilot, Wayne Gatlin, skillfully positions himself behind the Me-262 ready for the kill.

Never framed, stored flat in a non-smoking, climate-controlled environment. Check my feedback - it's excellent. I ask for the same consideration from you. I will pack your print very carefully so it arrives undamaged.
