Actual print 22x15, Framed 31x25. Extra unknown signature - see last picture. Robert Taylor captures a typical Battle of Britain scene in which Group Captain Townsend, CO of 85 Squadron, gives guidance and moral support to F/O Marshall, who having collided with, and destroyed an He111 is struggling to get his badly damaged Hurricane back to Debden.

Losing height and low over the beautiful Kent countryside, the Hurricane somehow manages to return to base to fight another day. Group Captain Peter Townsend was later appointed equerry to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
